Who is responsible

This policy covers the Android games Astro Sniper, Asteroid Hunter and Follow the Stars, and herculislab.com. Playing on your device

The games store settings, local high scores and manually saved progress on your device. Astro Sniper also stores your callsign. Asteroid Hunter and Follow the Stars use your Google Play Games profile for online rankings and do not require a separate username registration. When Google Play Games is available, a saved campaign may also store the Google Play Games player identifier to keep score submissions associated with the correct player. We do not operate a separate player-account service or a server for saved missions. The core single-player games work offline.

You can clear local game data using Android Settings. This removes local progress and settings. Android backup and restore may retain app data according to your device and Google account settings.

Age choice in Asteroid Hunter and Follow the Stars

On first launch, these two games ask for your age without a preselected answer. You can choose not to answer. We store only whether online play services are allowed, not your exact age. This choice stays on the device and is excluded from Android backup and device transfer. Players under 16 and those who do not answer play with local high scores. Google Play Games is not initialized for them. The full single-player game remains available without signing in. The More games link remains available and opens our website; website processing is described below. A Google account used to download a game from the Play Store is separate from signing in to Play Games inside the game.

Google Play Games and high scores

All three games use Google Play Games Services for sign-in and leaderboards. Astro Sniper has difficulty-specific leaderboards; Asteroid Hunter and Follow the Stars each have one score leaderboard. For Astro Sniper, and for eligible players aged 16 and over in Asteroid Hunter and Follow the Stars, Google may sign you in automatically according to your Play Games settings. The games read your Play Games player identifier to associate eligible scores with the player who started the run. Scores are submitted at the game’s result or save checkpoints. Local saves are not stored in Google Play Games cloud saves. Leaderboards are hosted by Google. Your gaming profile and scores may be visible to other players according to your Google Play Games privacy settings.

Google Play Games Services also processes gaming-profile information, SDK usage analytics and diagnostic information. Data is encrypted in transit. We do not request your contacts, precise location, camera or microphone, and these versions do not include third-party advertisements or a separate advertising/analytics SDK. The More games button opens our website in your browser.

Google processes its services' data under the Google Privacy Policy. Manage sign-in and profile visibility in Google Play Games settings. You can delete the Play Games data for each game, or your entire Play Games profile, through those settings; see Google's instructions for deleting Play Games data. Clearing local app data does not by itself delete Google's leaderboard records.

Purchases

Asteroid Hunter and Follow the Stars are free and do not offer in-app purchases. For paid products such as Astro Sniper, purchases and payment information are handled by Google Play. The game does not collect or store your payment-card or bank-account details. Google provides the developer with sales and transaction information needed to administer the sale and meet accounting obligations.

Website and support

The website is hosted by Cloudflare. Delivering and protecting it involves processing technical request data, such as IP address, browser information and the requested page. We do not embed advertising trackers or behavioural analytics on this website. See the Cloudflare Privacy Policy.

If you email us, we process your email address, the message and any information you choose to attach so we can answer your enquiry. Support email is handled through Google Workspace. Please do not send passwords or payment details.

Purposes, sharing and retention

We process information as necessary to provide the game and requested services, respond to support enquiries, protect our services and meet legal obligations. Where applicable, these are our contractual obligations, legitimate interests in operating and securing the service, and legal obligations; consent is used where required. We do not sell your personal data or use it for targeted advertising.

Information is shared with service providers only as needed for the services described above, or where required by law. Google and Cloudflare may process information outside your country, including outside the European Economic Area, under their applicable data-protection arrangements.

Local game data remains until you clear it or remove it through your device settings, subject to device backups. Google Play Games data remains subject to Google's retention and deletion controls. We keep support correspondence only for as long as necessary to resolve the enquiry and address related claims or legal obligations. Sales and accounting records are retained for the legally required period.

Your choices and rights

You can play the core game without using online rankings and control Google Play Games sign-in in Google's settings. For personal data we control, you may request access, correction, deletion, restriction or portability, and object to processing where applicable. For data controlled by Google, use your Google account and Play Games privacy controls.

Updates

We will update this page when our games’ data practices change and revise the effective date. Material changes will be communicated where required.
